Your work will be to join our team of highly skilled Software developers to further develop our service for scalability, security, usability and new usage areas. We have Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Netherland as our core markets. As a software developer in our team you interact with stakeholders and people from other teams in these different countries. 

Work tasks

  • Software developing
  • Participate in architecture-, design- and code- reviews
  • Implementation of automatic tests and testing of solutions
  • Cooperate with other team members (QA, BA, other SDs etc)

 Requirements and qualifications

  • Preferably MSc or BSc degree in computer science, engineering or similar
  • Experience with Ruby. If you are a good software developer we can accept that you learn Ruby when starting up. We have some Java components and also for various parts we are looking into other languages like Go.
  • Analytical yet hands-on attitude to comprehend problems and their solutions
  • Quality oriented, with strong testing oriented mindset
  • Genuinely interest in technology, an eye for good software development practice, design patterns and modeling
  • Self-driven with an eagerness to get things done - in a good manner
  • Ability to work independently and easily interact with remote team members
  • Ability to take initiative, propose and pursue viable technical solutions.
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
  • Experience in XML handling        
    • Experience with source control systems (git)
    • Good command of SQL querying, knowledge of operation and administration of MySQL or MariaDB systems
  • Nice to have: experience with key-value store systems (Redis) and other NoSQL database systems. Strong DevOps skills. Experience from continuous delivery (benefit, not a requirement), Good command of Linux system setup, administration and operation.
